Want to get an estimate for how much money you could make with your application depending on how much you sell and how much you charge? I’ve compiled some tables of what I think will be some common price points, sales numbers and revenues after Apple’s cut. At the end is a short comparison for the approximate sales numbers needed at each price point to make an income of $80,000/yr.
The following charts calculate earnings from application sales by price points. Each chart calculates the breakdown of revenues based on the 30/70 split announced by Apple for applications sold through the iTunes App Store. The basic split is given for each price point.
$.99 Sale Price
At the $.99 price point, you receive $.70 for every sale, Apple receives $.29
